High Strength Forged 304 Stainless Steel Tube Concentric Reducers Fittings

A stainless steel tube concentric reducer is a pipe fitting used at the pipe diameter change point. The commonly used forming processes are reducing pressing, expanding pressing, or reducing and expanding pressing. For certain specifications of reducers, stamping can also be used.

The stainless steel reducing forming process of the reducer is to put a tube blank with the same diameter as the large end of the reducer into the forming die, and press along the axial direction of the tube blank to make the metal move along the die cavity and shrink to form. According to the size of the diameter change of the reducer, it is divided into one-time pressing forming or multiple pressing forming.

The expanding forming is to use a tube blank with a diameter smaller than the large end of the reducer and use an inner punch die to expand the inner diameter of the tube blank. The expanding process mainly solves the situation that the reducer with a large diameter change is not easy to form by reducing the diameter. Sometimes, according to the needs of material and product forming, the expanding and reducing methods are combined.

In the process of reducing or expanding deformation pressing, cold pressing or hot pressing is determined according to different materials and diameter change conditions. Under normal circumstances, cold pressing is used as much as possible, but hot pressing is suitable for situations of severe work hardening caused by multiple diameter changes, the situation of thick wall thickness, or alloy steel materials.

Stainless Steel Tube Concentric Reducers Application:

1. When the flow rate of the fluid in the pipeline changes, such as increasing or decreasing, and the flow rate requirement does not change much, a reducer is required.

2. At the inlet of the pump, a reducer is required to prevent cavitation.

3. At the joints with instruments, such as flow meters and regulating valves, a reducer is also required to match the joints of the instruments.
