Stainless steel seamless precision tubes are used in instrumentation and hydraulic systems and are manufactured to ASTM A269 standard in standard sizes including 3/8 ", 1/4 ", 1/2 "and 3/4" outer diameter, 0.028 ", 0.035 ", 0.049 ", 0.065 "wall thickness. ASTM A269 instrument tubes have a smooth, polished annealed surface and strict diameter and wall thickness deviation requirements to reduce the risk of leakage when connecting the tubes with single or double-sleeve couplings.

 

Stainless steel instrument tubes are stainless steel duplex nickel tubes with mostly relatively thin walls. The diameter of most instrument tubes varies between 1.5 mm OD and 60 mm OD. 6 m of random length or up to 1000 m of coil, no weld.

Typically, hydraulic instrument pipes are annealed to conform to standard solution temperatures, followed by pickling to passivate the surface and remove burrs at the pipe end to insert fittings.

 

The surface of the pipe should be free of scale and clean. In some cases, polished annealing of seamless and welded pipes is required in order to achieve higher cleanliness and smooth surfaces.
