Pipe tees are extensively used in pipeline networks. They have two outlets at 90 degrees from the main flow and are used to combine or split fluid or gas flow.
The equal tee is manufactured with all three outlets being the same size. The fittings like the alphabet "T", can connect two horizontal and one vertical pipe.
The common manufacturing processes to make tees are cold extrusion and hot pushing. Cold extrusion is normally for smaller thicknesses tee, whereas hot pushing is for large thicknesses.
The stainless steel equal tee's ends in plain or beveled, connected by butt welding process. It could bear higher pressure than the other connection types.
